    Description

WWI 1.18.1916 Vintage German Soldiers Picture Photo Postcard of German Soldiers in Dining Hall of Guard Command of Prisoner Camp
This is an original, date post marked 18 January 1916 German Nazi soldiers post card.  The purple ink stamped banner on the front reads: Wachkommando des Gefangenen Lager – which loosely translates to: Guard Command of the Prisoner Camp.
There is the round date stamp that reads: Dillingen a. Donau or Dillingen a. Danube.
This postcard was mailed in Germany to my own grandmother in 1916.
This postcard was saved by my uncle and is part of his estate.
He collected German WWI and WWII era postcards, and I will be listing more of them separately.
The postcard is in exceptionally good vintage condition.
