VTG. CAMBRIDGE CRYSTAL & SHEFFIELD STERLING OIL & VINEGAR CRUET

Description

Lovely vintage etched oil & vinegar cruet by Cambridge Crystal (1939-1958) in the delicate Chantilly pattern, It has a sterling topped glass stopper and weighted sterling base by the Sheffield Silver Co. The words 'Oil' and 'Vinegar' are etched on the front.
The Sheffield Silver hallmark of the 'beard, crown,S' appears on the stopper and the bottom of the base. In addition to the Sheffield hallmark, the base is also marked 'Sterling, Weighted, 451'.
The overall height with the stopper is approximately 8" (without the stopper it is about 7". The base is about 3" diameter and the crystal at the widest point is about 2 3/4".
Although the bottom of the stopper is chipped, it is very difficult to see it when it is in the cruet. Please view all photos.
There are no monograms. This is from an estate and is just beautiful.
