Vintage Mint Dufferin Red Leaf Flame Cue with Wood -on - Wood Joint

From my collection. A not too common Dufferin cue. "Made in Canada"stamped on the bumper and Dufferin under the Red Leaf inside the glass window on the cue butt. A four point, full splice cue, with splices of straight maple, Blue flame, and Birdseye Maple in the butt sleeve area.  Cue is from the days when the Dufferin name stood for true wood and construction quality, and this is one of the finest all original examples in existence- as excellent condition as one could hope for in a cue this age.
The cue has the brass 5/16 14 pin in the shaft, and a metal insert in the cue butt joint only to receive the pin. It is a flat faced, wood on wood joint- most desirable hit possible with a Dufferin cue -NOT the metal on metal joints you see most often in these cues. This is a much more rare and valued construction method from vintage Dufferin! Hit and Play is excellent with this cue.
Now the specs- 57 inches- standard for true vintage 2 piece Dufferin. The shaft is smooth and free of any dents,12.6MM at the tip, tapers to 13mm at 7 inches from the tip and gradual taper from that point.  Cue is stamped 19 ounces, my scale has it at 19.6 ounces - common for vintage Dufferin. The cue is very well balanced, shows minor wobble on the butt and shaft, when rolled separately, rolls well together, sights straight,- all within better than normal tolerances for a vintage two piece cue of quality construction. Full spliced points show some slight variance in height- normal for all vintage Dufferins.
I will include joint protectors for this cue. My cue sales are of the highest quality from my collection. Everything is kept smoke free, air conditioned and cased in two pieces.
