Description
Here's some beautiful pieces of vintage elegant glassware which were made by the Cambridge Glass Company of Cambridge, Ohio. The etched decoration is called "Chantilly"; these glasses are shown in the old Cambridge catalogs as the3625 10 oz. Goblet
. The Chantilly etch was introduced in 1939 and continued in production until Cambridge went out of business in 1958.
The glasses are about 7-7/8" tall; they're about 3-3/4" across the top, and the foot's just under 3-1/4" in diameter. By my measurements, they only hold a little over ounces when filled to the brim, so 'functional capacity' is probably more like 6-7 ounces. Two of the glasses are in nice shape with no issues; the third has a very tiny flake on the edge just under the rim (pictured; the glass is still very useable and you've got to look pretty hard to even see the thing).
Beautiful glasses, great blank, pretty etch, they're in good shape, I've got way too much glassware in my life, and these need a new home.
