These 7 magazines all have Smokey Bear featured in an article, picture or both.1.Jack and Jill, is the oldest, August 1966. Features Smokey Bear paper bag hand puppet to copy, cut, glue on a paper bag and "make Smokey talk."
2.Ford Times, July 1970, 4 page article, 'everybody loves smokey (the) bear' highlights some of the letters Smokey receives each week.
3. Smithsonian, January 1994, 'Where there's Smokey, there's never any fire' 3 page article featuring early, classic Smokey posters from 1945-1993.
4. The New Yorker, June 5, 1995. The 'Smokey' is on the cover. What appears to be his framed likeness, with a Scandinavian reference to forest fire in the caption below -- 'Endast Du kan forhindra skogsbrand'
