Description
This is a wonderful group of old, vintage pieces from Sharon, PA, a small town in western Pennsylvania (where I was born and raised), though have been away since 1958.1. Heavy paper engineer's hat from the Old Express Restaurant in the late 1960's, early '70's. It fastens in the back and is 25" wide when stretched out.
2. Metal tray or ashtray, 5" diameter, from 60's or 70's when Harold Bell was mayor.
3. Drink coaster from Quaker Steak and Lube, cardboard, 3 1/2" square.
4. Reyers, 'the department store of shoes' shoe horn. Approx. 4"
5. Pencil topper from Protected Home Circle, PHC, 'founded 1886'. See condition above. 3 1/2"
6. and 7. Charms--smaller one is from Sharon High School--I believe it was a scholarship award during graduation in 1955. Larger charm is a Keglers Club (bowling) award 'Sportsmanship Sharon High 1955.
8. Sharon High pin with hanging metal basketball and black and orange ribbons. 5" from top to bottom. This was worn sometime between 1952 and 1955, my graduation year.
