Rare Vintage Leaf Through Smokey Bear’s Pocket Book Project Poster

Description

This is not a poster you see very often. It is actually a "project" for making a book of information about trees to teach children appreciation of the forest. It measures 19" x 24". At the top is the title: "Leaf through Smokey's pocket book." The title of the pocket book is "Smokey's Leaf Book." Each of the 14 pages contain a picture and information about a tree: American Elm, American Holly, Black Walnut, Cabbage Palmetto, Douglas Fir, Eastern Cottonwood, Eastern White Pine, Flowering Dogwood, Paper Birch, Redwood, Southern Magnolia, Sugar Maple, Tuliptree, and White Oak. There is a folding pocket to make to carry the book once it is accordian-folded. Please see close-up photos to appreciate the fire prevention rules on the poster.
