    Chinese Lantern
    Physalis gigantea
    60 days to maturity.  Gorgeous and unusual, this is a great floral to decorate with, either freshly cut or dried.  This is not the easiest seed to germinate, but once it takes off, watch out!  Chinese lanterns propagate by seed in addition to the roots spreading through the soil and sprouting new plants. Chinese lanterns naturalize quickly and can become invasive, so they should be planted with this in mind. The leaves and immature berries are also poisonous.
