    THE CLASSIC AMERICAN DOLLS SERIES
Albert Schoenhut's "Perfection Art Dolls" were wooden jointed
marvels with steel springs, patented in 1911. They were manufactured
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania through the 1930's in what grew to
be one of the largest toy factories in the world. As an important
American doll designer, he has been honored by inclusion in
the 1977 U.S. Postal Service release of
    "CLASSIC AMERICAN DOLLS" postage stamps.
Your Schoenhut doll is a faithful representation of
the original featured on the postage stamp, and like
the originals, her body and limbs are wooden. Her
head has been crafted in an environmentally sensible
medium for our time and hand painted by skilled artisans.
This doll was produced through the generous corporation
of the Strong Museum of Rochester, New York, home to
the worlds largest collection of antique dolls.
