    Description

    YOU GET A NICE love pair here of  2 ORIGINAL WW1 postcards entitled, "Ich weib ein herz, fur das ich bete" or "I know a heart for which I pray" (title taken from an old German song I believe).      ...numbered "3082-1" "3082-2"... (the second one is tough to see the number on the corner but I recall having another one of these in the past where I could see "3082-2" ... Each scene communicates this age old struggle of separation from those you love during times of war.  ...I see one line translated as "lifting me up to heaven" etc.  This German Imperial Soldier yearns & prays for his love, and she for him!  Great condition on both.
